The three common assignment rules
| Rule | How it works | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Round-robin | New leads take turns between the agents in a team. | Teams where agents sell the same products and should get a fair share. |
| Specific owner | Every lead from a channel goes to one named person. | A dedicated person per branch, language or product line. |
| Shared queue | Leads wait in a common list; the first free agent takes them. | Support-style teams and busy periods. |
Tips
- Organise channels around teams — for example one WhatsApp number per branch — so the rule for each channel stays simple.
- Make sure the agent is notified immediately; assignment only helps if the owner knows.
- Give each lead a follow-up date so ownership turns into action.
In Lead10
Each Lead10 channel has its own team members and a rotation mode: round-robin, a specific agent, or a shared queue. New conversations and automatically created leads are assigned by that rule, and agents are notified in the app, by email or by push notification. Staff see the conversations assigned to them unless they are allowed to see all.
